Costain have been supporting the Construction Industry Pilot Coaching Scheme for mentoring Year 9 students at EastLea Community School in the London Borough of Newham, Starting in October 2006, construction professionals have organised a monthly after school meeting for twenty pupils to build awareness and inspire them to enter Construction Industry careers. This work has also involved assisting with parent evening presentations and trips to Canary Wharf and The Building Centre.
At the end of year presentation, pupils and mentors, including Costain Engineers Alex Nenadovic and Peter Leung, received tokens of appreciation for their hard work and dedication to the project which is anticipated to continue and expand in the next academic year.
