Sir Digby Jones, the UK's Skills Envoy, visited Building Awareness partner Castlebrook High School in Bury. Touring the school's new £300,000 construction centre, he said the school, which has secured science and technology college status, was pioneering a new approach when it comes to the education and private sectors working together.
Costain is supporting the new GCSE qualification in construction and the built environment which the school is piloting.
Ellie Lewis, Planner and Construction Ambassador, and Bill Lomas, Regional Director, represented Costain during the visit and chatted with Sir Digby about the Building Awareness Programme.
