Careers Wales Gwent has invited local organisations and employers to support an interactive careers event to help 14 year olds gain career ideas.
CITB are coordinating a large area in the event to promote the whole built environment industry with various demonstrations and interactive events (eg. bricklaying, use of levelling equipment, use of in design work).
We are providing a "virtual Construction site " along with CITB and other companies to give the pupils a taster of a construction site & job opportunities within the construction industry. Over the two days there are 1400 pupils expected in 4 sessions.
Our involvement in the two days is to provide setting out demos & a chance for the pupils to have a go, we will also provide safety signage. One of our Engineers and a QS will sit in the site office & explain the careers options.
