As part of a week long celebration of technology beginning on Monday 21st May, Costain is delivering a technology lesson during which students at Castleford High School will creat a virtual bridge using design software and then compete in small teams to construct a paper bridge.
Costain is constructing the nearby Castleford foorbridge accross the River Aire near Wakefield.
Paul Eckersley, a Costain graduate engineer who will deliver the lesson, said, "Costain visited my school when I was studying and it was this that switched me on to civil engineering as a career option".
