Great Sankey is a mixed comprehensive with 1,600 pupils, and a renowned Theatre Company and band, which are past performers at the Edinburgh Festival.
Alan Yates, Headteacher, said, "We are delighted to be part of Costain's Building Awareness initiative. It will give our students an exciting opportunity to have real engineering focus in the curriculum and compliments our bid to become a Specialist Engineering College."

The placement was extremely enjoyable and educational. I have learnt to use various tools and skills, which I hope to use in a future career. I have learnt to use theodolites and levels and their importance on site. I have also learnt about the pricing of materials and labour costs through various tasks set by my supervisors. This placement has also developed other important skills such as confidence and teamwork. |
